Inspection and Testing

  • A Consumer Unit with it's cover off. In front of it is an electrical tester with it's probes connected to the cables.

    Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)

These reports are comprehensive assessments of your entire electrical installation.

For rented domestic properties and most commercial premises, it is recommended that this is carried out every 5 years. For owner occupied domestic premises this increases to every 10 years but these intervals can be reduced depending on the condition of the installation.

We provide highly detailed reports from every inspection and test we carry out. Where we identify defects, we will attach a photograph to the report along with the description of the issue.

We also provide a free quotation for any required work to rectify identified defects.

  • An electrical tester with an appliance plugged in. The screen of the tester displays the read outs from the test.

In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (formerly PAT)

This procedure ensures the safety of electrical devices plugged in or, hard wired into your electrical installation be it a house, office space or pub.

As a general guidance, this inspection and test is carried out on a yearly basis but can vary depending on the use and the environment the equipment is in.

All our reports come with an itemised list of the tested equipment and a picture of each item to help keep track of your appliances.
